Fleming's Steakhouse in Boston Has Closed for Good

One of Boston's high-end steakhouses has shut down permanently.

According to a couple of sources, Fleming's on Stuart Street closed for good after dinner service on April 1, with a note from the place saying that "Closing a restaurant is never easy and this decision was made based solely on business circumstances and has no reflection on the Associates or Management team." There is no mention as to whether the restaurant shutdown was the main factor in the closing of Fleming's; since the order from Governor Baker was put into place a couple of weeks ago that allowed restaurants to do takeout/deliver only, a number of dining spots in the region have closed temporarily but only a few have shut down for good--and not all of those closed because of the coronavirus crisis.

Fleming's Steakhouse first opened its doors in Boston approximately 20 years ago.

The address for the now-closed Fleming's was 217 Stuart Street, Boston, MA, 02116. The website for the other locations of Fleming's can be found at https://www.flemingssteakhouse.com/
