A message sent to us from a source (Cheryl Fenton) indicates that Hopothecary Ales is planning to open a brewery in North Reading, with an Instagram post from the business indicating that it is teaming up with the people behind several restaurants in the local area. The post says that "We are pleased to announce the signing of an agreement with the owners of Dos Lobos/Joe Fish/The Loft to bring our brewery to North Reading. Our partner has years of restaurant experience and this allows our brewery to have a full kitchen."
The website for Hopothecary Ales will be at https://hopothecaryales.com/
[November 17, 2021 update: According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Hopothecary Ales is on the verge of opening, with a Facebook post from the place saying that "We are going to do a few 'invite only' events at the brewery before we officially open. (That will be announced soon!!) We would like to extend an invitation to all industry (brewery or restaurant) staff on 11/23, 1st responders and educators on Wed 11/24, and health care workers on 11/26!" In addition, the website for the brewery--which will be located at 303 Main Street--says that the space will include a taproom, lounge, bar, restaurant, and beer garden.]
[December 6 update: According to its Facebook page, Hopothecary Ales is now open.]
