Mike Dent of Bar Boulud Takes Over Boston Hot Dog Company in Salem

A hot dog place on the North Shore is getting ready to reopen, and when it does, it will be run by an alum of a now-closed high-end restaurant in Boston.

According to a source, Boston Hot Dog Company plans to open back up tomorrow (Wednesday, July 1), with a Salem Digest Facebook post stating that the Washington Street eatery is under new management. The post says that Mike Dent, who had been both a Sous Chef and Executive Chef at Bar Boulud in Boston's Back Bay, has taken over the hot dog spot, with Dent previously being involved with The Ginger Man at Faneuil Hall and Cafe Boulud in New York City as well.

The new menu at Boston Hot Dog Company shows a variety of hot dog options, including corn dogs, Chicago dogs, reuben dogs, Cubano dogs, and more. (Fries, chili, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, and root beer floats are also on the menu.)

The address for Boston Hot Dog Company is 60 Washington Street, Salem, MA, 01970.
