It looks like the Boston location of a restaurant/bar chain that was known for its purposely rude staff and its party atmosphere has closed its doors.
According to a source within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Dick's Last Resort at Faneuil Hall Marketplace has shut down, with a tweet from Only In Boston saying that the dining and drinking spot "closed for good last Sunday after fifteen years in Quincy Market at Faneuil Hall Marketplace." Phone calls to the place go unanswered this afternoon, while a Google search has it labeled as "permanently closed," and a post within Boston's Wicked North Shore says that "Dick's Boston had reopened but today decision was made to shut down," though they mention that a rep from another location indicates \it could return at some point if "things changed." We have reached out to Faneuil Hall itself and are waiting to hear back from them to see if they have more information, so keep checking back for updates.
The Boston location of Dick's Last Resort had once been located on Huntington Avenue in the Back Bay.
