Stacy's Tavern Plans to Open in Former VFW Post Space in Braintree Square

A new restaurant and bar is looking to open on the South Shore, and it would be replacing a Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.

According to an article from the Patriot Ledger, Stacy's Tavern is planning to open in Braintree Square, moving into the former VFW Post space on Washington Street while also getting its liquor license from the Viking Club on Quincy Avenue. (Both the VFW Post and the Viking Club closed late last year.) A post within the Facebook group page mentions that the dining and drinking spot plans to have 171 seats and that Stacy Dam is behind the place, though little additional information on the upcoming restaurant has been given so keep checking back for updates.

The space that Stacy's Tavern is moving into had once been home to a Masonic Temple as well, according to the Ledger article.

The address for this upcoming restaurant and bar in Braintree Square is: Stacy's Tavern, 356 Washington Street, Braintree, MA, 02184.
