A small group of restaurants known for its award-winning tacos has expanded to a riverside space north of Boston.
According to an article from The Eagle-Tribune, Barrio Tacos opens later today at the Harbor Place complex in Haverhill, with the space including limited indoor dining for now along with outdoor dining along a boardwalk that overlooks the Merrimack River. The post mentions that Dan and Maggie Osborn of the Portsmouth location of Barrio are behind the Haverhill location as well, and that a wide variety of hard and soft shell tacos are offered, with such options as thick-cut bacon, braised short rib, jalapeno lime shrimp, queso fresco and chihuahua cheese, poblano chile, chipotle crema, hot Carolina reaper sauce, four kinds of salsa, and more being available.
Barrio Tacos has a handful of locations in the Great Lakes area (the business started out in Cleveland in 2012), with its Lakewood, OH restaurant being awarded one of the top 10 taco stands in the United States by Gayot.
The address for the new location of Barrio Tacos in Haverhill is 2 Merrimack Street, Haverhill, MA, 01830. The website for all locations of Barrio can be found at https://barrio-tacos.com/
