Stonewall Kitchen Is Opening a Store and Cafe in Boston's Fort Point Neighborhood

A Maine-based specialty food company that is known in part for its jams is coming to the Boston wasterfront.

According to a source, Stonewall Kitchen is opening a store and cafe in the city's Fort Point area, with the website for the business showing that the shop will be located next to the Boston Children's Museum on Congress Street. Based on its other locations--including the company store at its headquarters in York, ME--expect to find a variety of specialty foods and home goods at the new outlet, while its cafe may offer soups, salads, sandwiches, coffee, and tea, depending on how similar its menu will be to that of the York store.

Stonewall Kitchen got its start at a farmers market in Portsmouth, NH, in the early 1990s, eventually expanding to include a handful of company stores, a cooking school at its headquarters, and a catalog business today.

The address for the new location of Stonewall Kitchen in Fort Point will be 308 Congress Street, Boston, MA, 02210. The website for the business can be found at https://www.stonewallkitchen.com/

[November 27 update: Our source now tells us that Stonewall Kitchen plans to open its Boston outlet today, with a press release confirming this.]
