A new dining spot may be on its way to the Back Bay of Boston, and it looks like it would replace a flower shop.
According to a licensing board hearing page within the city's website, April 23 Cafe is planning to open on Newbury Street, apparently taking over the April 23 Florist space about midway between Fairfield Street and Exeter Street. A Boston Sun article from last fall indicated at the time that the proposed eatery would offer bubble tea and snacks with no cooking being done on-site, while an OpenCorporates page shows that the manager of the cafe--Qisheng Jia--is also the owner of the flower shop.
The address for the upcoming April 23 Cafe is 222 Newbury Street, Boston, MA, 02116.
