According to a source, Gigi's Pizza Co. is getting ready to open in the former Cugini's Market space in Watertown, with the Waltham Street spot possibly opening as early as this week if all goes well. The menu for the new place shows a variety of pizzas including gourmet pies such as a BLT, diablo, Mexicana, chicken Hawaiian, pesto, and Mediterranean, while also having subs, calzones, pasta dishes, grill items, and more.
Cugini's Market closed last fall after being in business for approximately a year; the owners of DePasquale's At Night Caps Corner in Newton were behind the shop.
