A North Shore cafe known in part for its sandwiches, desserts, and coffee has shut down permanently.
According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Hometown Cafe in Danvers is no longer in operation, with a Facebook post from the Liberty Street eatery saying "I extend my sincere thanks to all my loyal customers who have supported me for the last 3 years due to covid 19 I will not be opening back up thank you all Joey." Hometown Cafe first opened in the early part of 2018, with the place offering such items as breakfast sandwiches, bagels, hot and cold sandwiches and wraps, salads, biscotti, whoopie pies, danish, and more.
The address for the now-closed Hometown Cafe in Danvers was 125 Liberty Street, Danvers, MA, 01923.
