Taqueria El Barrio Is Being Reborn in Former Greek Street Space at Time Out Market in Boston's Fenway

A Mexican restaurant by Boston University that recently closed down is on the verge of returning, this time in a food hall not too far away from its original location.

According to a press release, Taqueria El Barrio reopens inside Time Out Market Boston in the city's Fenway neighborhood tomorrow (Wednesday, October 14), a bit less than a month after closing down on Commonwealth Avenue by the BU West Campus. We have been told that Chef Alex Saenz and Servio Garcia will be offering the same tacos, nachos, and quesadillas that had been available at the old space, with options including carne asada, pastor, carnitas, chicken, fish, birria, and spicy vegan chorizo.

Saenz has also been running a location of BISq at Time Out Market as well, with the two being in separate spaces (Taqueria El Barrio is taking over the old Greek Street space); the original BISq can be found in Cambridge's Inman Square.
