It looks like a nightclub known in part for its live music has closed its doors.
According to several sources within the local restaurant industry, Wonder Bar in Allston has shut down, with a Facebook post from Thunderbar Comedy (which had open mics on Thursdays at the Harvard Avenue club) seeming to confirm this, saying "Hey Chums, Wonder Bar closed. We're bummed but not dead. Post pandemic we're looking to move our East Coast Mic to an adventageous spot in Boston if we can find a bar with sticky enough floors....Thank you for making the past 5 years in an Allston basement the funnest of hot messes." Wonder Bar featured music via live acts and DJs along with open mic nights and private parties, while also serving food and drink.
We reached out to Wonder Bar earlier this week for more information on its closing but have not received a response as of yet.
The address for Wonder Bar in Allston is 186 Harvard Avenue, Allston, MA, 02134.
