Proposal Submitted for Boutique Hotel with Two Restaurants to Open in Boston's North End

It looks like plans are in the works for a hotel and a pair of restaurants to possibly open at the gateway to the North End of Boston.

According to an article from the Boston Business Journal, the urban planning and project permitting firm Fort Point Associates Inc. has submitted a letter of intent (on behalf of Cross Street Ventures LLC) to the Boston Planning and Development Agency that would bring a boutique hotel to Cross Street, with the development including one dining spot that would be affiliated with the hotel and a second one that would be a tenant, while a roof-terrace dining space would be part of the plans. The space being looked at is the block facing the Rose Kennedy Greenway where Maria's Pastry Shop had been for 50 years until closing down last fall.

The development proposal for the hotel and restaurants is in its early stages, so stay tuned for more updates as they come in.
