A breakfast and lunch spot in downtown Boston is shutting down later this month, and the coronavirus appears to be to blame.
According to posters within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, The Kitchen Cafe in the city's Leather District is getting ready to close, with an Instagram post from the South Street eatery saying the following:
As of NOVEMBER 20, 2020- We are sad to say that Covid has claimed another small business. It's been a fantastic 4 years and we want to thank all our customers for all the fun and experiences....They say when one door clothes another one open we are looking forward and hope you stay tuned as to what is behind Door #2.
The Kitchen Cafe first opened in July of 2016, moving into the space where Trattoria Andiamo had been; the dining spot offers such items as breakfast sandwiches, omelets, muffins, soups, salads, wraps, coffee, and more.
The address for The Kitchen Cafe is 104 South Street, Boston, MA, 02111. Its website can be found at https://www.thekitchencafeboston.com/
