A fourth location of a local group of barbecue restaurants has opened its doors.
According to a source, The Smoke Shop BBQ is now open in the Harvard Square section of Cambridge, with Chef Andy Husbands opening the new spot in a space on Holyoke Street that had been home to En Boca, and before that, Sandrine's. The new location joins others in Boston's Fort Point neighborhood, Somerville's Assembly Row, and Cambridge's Kendall Square, and it has been in the works for awhile, as plans for it were first announced in the summer of 2019.
Eater Boston mentions that the new location of The Smoke Shop BBQ will include one item that is exclusive to the restaurant--Nashville hot sliders, which are offered spicy or "hot as cluck."
