It looks like the future of the original location of a trio of vegan/vegetarian restaurants is in doubt.
According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, the Whole Heart Provisions space in Allston is for rent, with a picture posted confirming that there are indeed "For Rent" signs in the windows of the Cambridge Street eatery. A check on the website for the business shows the Allston outlet still listed on the site, and a note on the home page indicates that locations in Cambridge's Harvard Square and Central Square are apparently in hibernation.
Whole Heart Provisions debuted in Allston in the fall of 2015, with James DiSabatino (Roxy's Grilled Cheese, A4cade) and Rebecca Arnold (Sarma, Alden & Harlow, Pain D'Avignon, 606 Congress) opening the place. All three locations have been known for their plant-based dishes, including an array of bowls and snacks such as street corn and shishito peppers.
The address for Whole Heart Provisions in Allston is 487 Cambridge Street, Allston, MA, 02134. The website for the business can be found at https://www.wholeheartprovisions.com/
