A brand new coffee shop is opening on the North Shore, and a familiar name is behind the place.
According to a message sent to us, Wolf Next Door Coffee is getting ready to debut in Salem, moving into a space on Derby Street where Derby Joe had been. We are told that Diane Wolf, who runs the nearby Lobster Shanty with her husband Lee, will be running the spot, which will initially be takeout only and will offer pastries, baked goods, soups, sandwiches, coffee, and tea, with salads possibly being added to the menu in the summer. (The plan is to also add indoor seating once things start to feel safer.)
If all goes as planned, Wolf Next Door Coffee hopes to open sometime next week.
