A brand new pizza spot is on its way to the western suburbs, and the person behind a nearby decades-old Italian food shop is opening the place.
According to a Twitter post from @banderlin (via a Reddit post), Enzina Pizzeria is planning to open in Waltham, with a notice on the city's website confirming what the tweet hinted at, that it will be taking over the space on Main Street where Peter's Greek Kitchen had been until closing down last winter. The hearing notice also confirms that Ciro Maione of Domenic's Italian Bakery & Deli is opening the upcoming pizza place, with the website for Domenic's simply saying that it will be coming soon.
Domenic's Italian Bakery & Deli first opened its doors in 1979, offering a variety of sandwiches along with pasta dishes, pizza, and more.
The address for Enzina Pizzeria is 1056 Main Street, Waltham, MA, 02451. Its website is at https://www.getenzina.com/ (Domenic's is at 987 Main Street.)
[May 10 update: According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Enzina Pizzeria is now open, with its website confirming that it is indeed up and running.
