Parla, Le Macaron Both Plan to Open at Assembly Row in Somerville

A growing mixed-use development in Somerville will become home to two new options for food, including one with a familiar name locally.

According to a press release, Parla and Le Macaron are planning to open at Assembly Row, with the former being a second location of an Italian restaurant in Boston's North End and the latter being the first Boston-area location of a Florida-based chain of French patisseries that currently has one New England location in Windham, NH. Both spots are slated to open sometime this year, though no specific opening dates have been given as of yet.

Parla first opened its North End restaurant in 2014 while Le Macaron started out a bit more than 10 years ago.

[May 12 update: A post within the jobs section of bostonchefs.com says that Parla is "days away" from opening at Assembly Row, while a new Facebook post from Le Macaron says that it is also opening soon.]
