The Talk Restaurant in Watertown Has Been Seized by the State

An Italian-American restaurant in the western suburbs has been shut down, and it is not know what the future holds for the place.

According to multiple sources, The Talk Restaurant in Watertown has a "Seized" sign out front, with a picture from one source showing that the Main Street dining spot is now in the possession of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts due to nonpayment of taxes. Typically, when this happens, the restaurant and the state try to work out a payment program so that the place can open back up, but the sign is dated January 6 and we have not been able to find out if such a payment program is being worked on as of yet.

The Talk first opened in 2009, featuring such items as a Caesar salad, steak tips, broiled scrod, broiled sea scallops, chicken marsala, and ziti a la vodka.

The address for The Talk is 116 Main Street, Watertown, MA 02472.

[February 3 update: The future of The Talk now appears to be in doubt, as our source tells us that an Auction Sale notice has now been posted in the window of the place (a photo sent confirms the auction, as does a Twitter post from @EFSmithandSon).]
