It appears that workers in the local restaurant industry won't need to wait much longer for vaccinations.
According to a page within the state website, restaurant and cafe workers in Massachusetts will be able to schedule Covid-19 vaccine appointments beginning Monday, March 22, while many others in the food industry will be able to do so as well, including workers in grocery and convenience stores, those who work at food pantries, and food service workers who are involved in the production, processing, storage, transport, wholesale and retail sale, preparation, and service of food items.
The update also mentions that people in several other categories will be able to get vaccinated effective March 22, including sanitation and public health workers, those involved in the public works, utility workers, people in the transportation industry, medical supply chain workers, those involved in vaccine development, court system workers, and funeral directors and workers.
