Veggie Indian Palace Is Opening in Somerville's Davis Square

A brand new Indian restaurant is on its way to Somerville.

According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Veggie Indian Palace is seeking a common victualler license to open in Davis Square, and while the poster initially thought that it could possibly be moving into the former Punjabi Grill space, the address shown within a city licensing hearing notice has it as being across the street from there, and another poster says that it will move into the space where Martsa on Elm had been before moving to another space on the block. The manager/owner listed in the notice is Lokesh Adhikari, which the poster says is the person who is also behind Momo N Curry on Somerville Avenue in Somerville.

As soon as we confirm the exact address for Veggie Indian Palace, we will post an update here.

[May 14 update: Ron Newman has posted in the Davis Square Facebook group that Veggie Indian Palace is now open, and that it is indeed in the old Martsa on Elm Space at 233 Elm Street.]
