Alma Cantina Is Opening in the Former Blackstone Grill Space in Boston

A Mexican restaurant is on its way to downtown Boston, taking over a space that had been home to a bar that was known in part for its trivia nights and live music.

According to the Facebook page for the place, Alma Cantina is opening on Union Street just outside of Faneuil Hall, moving into the former Blackstone Grill space. A check on a page within the opengovus.com site indicates that Tim McCasland (Causeway, Fourth Wall, Union Street) is involved, while the Facebook page says that it will be feature "beers, tacos, and signature cocktails."

No opening date has been given for Alma Cantina as of yet, so stay tuned for updates as they come in.

The address for Alma Cantina (and the now-closed Blackstone Grill) is 15 Union Street, Boston, MA, 02108.

[August 10 update: According to its Facebook page, Alma Cantina is now open.]
