Black Lantern Tavern to Open in Plymouth

photo of Black Lantern Tavern, Plymouth, MA.A new restaurant is on its way to a residential development on the South Shore that is in the process of being built.

According to a press release, Black Lantern Tavern is planning to open at Redbrook, a master-planned residential community in Plymouth that will include nearly 1,200 homes and 60,000 square feet of retail and commercial space when completed. The upcoming dining spot, which will be open for lunch and dinner, will offer classic Italian fare, steak and seafood dishes, and beer, wine, and cocktails while the space will include a 125-seat dining room, a bar, and a patio that overlooks the community's village green. (The restaurant will be located within a central gathering space called The Meeting House, as seen in the rendering above.) If all goes as planned, Black Lantern Tavern will open in the spring of 2022.

Redbrook is located between Route 3 and Myles Standish State Forest, with the community including 10 miles of walking trails (some of which were designed by The Appalachian Mountain Club) along with cranberry bogs. The website for the development can be found at https://www.redbrookplymouth.com/
