A group of upscale Italian restaurants is planning to open a new location in Boston.
According to a post within the jobs section of bostonchefs.com, Serafina is opening in the city's Seaport District, with the post saying that they "will be bringing fresh, authentic Italian to the Seaport neighborhood. Handcrafted pizza and cocktails will be accompanied by a vibrant atmosphere." Once it opens, the new location will join an outlet of Serafina on Newbury Street in the Back Bay, while another location on High Street in the Financial District is currently closed--and while there has been chatter that is is shuttered permanently, the Serafina website still has it listed within their locations section.
Serafina is is a small chain of Northern Italian restaurants that first started out in New York City; currently, locations can be found in Florida, Puerto Rico, South America, and Asia in addition to Massachusetts and New York.
The website for Serafina is at https://www.serafinarestaurant.com/
[August 4 update: According to a source (and confirmed by a page within bostonchefs.com), Serafina will be moving into a space at 11 Fan Pier Boulevard, which is the address of the now-closed Babbo Pizzeria e Enoteca, and it has now been confirmed within a licensing board hearing page that it will indeed be taking over this space.]
[June 8, 2022 update: According to a press release, the new location of Serafina in the Seaport District is now open.]
