Oishii's Space in Boston's South End Is for Sale

It looks like one of Boston's best-known Japanese restaurants is on the selling block.

According to a source within the restaurant industry, the South End space in which Oishii Boston resides is for sale, with a Coldwell Banker post confirming this, saying that the "6,200SF bi-level commercial condo currently occupied by the award-winning restaurant Oishii is now available for purchase." The listing includes various details including the waterfall installation inside the space along with the kitchen with restaurant venting, and three indoor parking spaces are included in the sale as well. It is not known if Oishii may be looking to move to another location or whether it simply plans to close; as soon as we find out more, we will post an update here.

Another location of Oishii in Chestnut Hill closed down in 2018, while an outlet in Sudbury remains in operation; all locations have been known in part for their sushi options.

The address for Oishii Boston in the South End is 1166 Washington Street, Boston, MA, 02118. Its website can be found at https://www.oishiiboston.com/
