A new ice cream and sandwich shop is on its way to the northern suburbs of Boston.
According to a message from local hospitality writer Cheryl Fenton, Fat Larry's is planning to open in Reading, moving into the space on Haven Street in the center of town that had been home to the Olde Redding Butcher Shoppe. An earlier article from the Reading Post mentioned Fat Larry's coming to Reading, saying at the time that the place hoped to open sometime this summer. Based on its Facebook page, construction has been going on within the space over the past few weeks, though no specific opening date has been given as of yet; as soon as we receive more information, including a menu and a possible opening date, we will post an update here.
