Another breakfast and lunch spot in downtown Boston that catered to office workers has shut down.
According to a tweet from @kenjimallon, Dock Square Cafe on State Street in the city's Financial District is no longer in business, with a photo of a sign out front saying that it permanently closed on October 15 "due to circumstances beyond our control." The note refers customers to Boston News Cafe and Catering, which is an affiliated spot across the street and which also has another location on Arch Street.
Dock Square Cafe had been open for approximately 14 years, serving soups, salads, sandwiches, and rice bowls while also offering catering to nearby businesses.
The address for the now-closed Dock Square Cafe was 60 State Street, Boston, MA, 02109. The website for Boston News Cafe and Catering can be found at https://bostonnewscafe.com/
