Estella Plans to Open in 49 Social Space in Boston's Downtown Crossing

It looks like a new restaurant is on its way to the heart of Boston, taking over the space where an upscale dining and drinking spot had been.

According to a licensing board hearing page within the city's website, Estella is planning to open in Downtown Crossing, moving into the former 49 Social space on Temple Place. Very little is known about the proposed restaurant at this point in time other than the fact that it is seeking 49 Social's liquor license and that the parent company is K&K Restaurant Group Inc. while the manager listed is Helder Brandao.

49 Social first opened in the old Ivy Restaurant space in 2011, offering New American fare along with a variety of wines and cocktails.

The address for the proposed Estella is 49 Temple Place, Boston, MA, 02111.
