A group of restaurants that focus on locally-sourced foods will be opening another Boston-area location, and this one has been in the works for awhile.
According to a press release, DIG (which was once known as Dig Inn) is planning to open in Cambridge's Kendall Square this week, joining other outlets locally in Boston's Back Bay, Downtown Crossing, and Fort Point. The new location--which was first announced back in the early part of 2020--will offer healthy dishes with a menu that focuses on vegetables but also includes meats, while the space will include an open kitchen, indoor dining with 40 seats, a community table with 12 seats, a bar counter that has 8 stools, along with sidewalk seating during the warmer months.
DIG first started out in New York City in 2011 as Dig Inn and is known in part for bowls that have a grain or salad base with items such as chicken, beef, and salmon added.
The address for the new location of DIG in Kendall Square is One Broadway, Cambridge, MA, 02142. The website for all locations is at https://www.diginn.com/
[March 4 update: A page within the DIG site indicates that the Kendall Square location is now open.]
