The people behind a mobile coffee bar will be opening a brick-and-mortar shop in South Boston, taking over the space where a South Asian takeout place had been.
According to a tweet from @chipsy231 (and posted by Caught in Southie), KoKo Cafe is planning to open on L Street, moving into the former Cafe Mamtaz space. Caught in Southie mentions that the upcoming spot will serve breakfast and lunch, with the hope being that it will debut sometime in early May if all goes as planned.
Cafe Mamtaz was known for its Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi fare, and it offered catering as well as takeout/delivery.
The address for the upcoming KoKo Cafe (and now-closed Cafe Mamtaz) is 87 L Street, South Boston, MA, 02127. The website for the place is at http://kokocafeboston.com/boston/
