A decades-old breakfast and lunch spot in Belmont that was known for its Armenian food has shut down for good, and its closure stems from a mistaken oil delivery.
According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Aram's Cafe on Trapelo Road has closed its doors permanently, with a Facebook page from the place saying the following:
To our loyal customers, from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU. Thank you for your loyalty, for the friendships, for the laughs, and all the amazing memories. This was not how we expected our story to end. But nevertheless , we are so grateful for every single day of the last 35 years for the opportunity to serve you and this wonderful community. May you always remember Aram’s with happy memories and full stomachs.
In January, a delivery driver mistakenly delivered oil to Aram's Cafe, flooding the basement with oil and causing the eatery to close indefinitely.
The address for the now-closed Aram's Cafe was 5 Trapelo Road, Belmont, MA, 02478.
