The Beth Is Opening in the Former Hingham Beer Works Space

A local restaurant group is opening a new spot on the South Shore, taking over the space where a waterside brewpub had been.

A poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page mentions (via an earlier article from the Hingham Anchor) that The Briar Group is opening a restaurant/bar in the old Hingham Beer Works space this summer. The Briar Group is behind a number of Boston and Cambridge dining/drinking spots including City Bar, City Table, Gather, Glass House, The Harp, Hurricane's, MJ O'Connor's, Ned Devine's, and Solas along with Six String in Foxborough, and they just opened Broken Records Beer Hall at Boston Landing in Brighton as well.

Hingham Beer Works announced its closure in the summer of 2020, with all locations of Beer Works eventually shutting down.

The address for the new spot from The Briar Group is 18 Shipyard Drive, Hingham, MA, 02043. The website for the company can be found at https://www.thebriargroup.com/

[April 27 update: A series of posts within the jobs section of bostonchefs.com indicates that the new spot in Hingham from The Briar Group will be called The Beth, and it will be a casual restaurant and bar that has coastal New American cuisine with global influences, along with local beers and cocktails.]

[July 5 update: An Instagram post from the place indicates that The Beth is now open.]
