A Cajun seafood restaurant is opening in a part of Boston that already has a couple of other Cajun seafood restaurants.
According to an article from Universal Hub, The Crab Shack is planning to open in Roslindale, moving into a space within a strip mall on American Legion Highway. If approved, the dining spot will be the third Cajun seafood restaurant in the immediate area, with Shaking Seafood in Roslindale and Crab du Jour in neighboring Hyde Park being the other two. (UH mentions that Flaming Grill in Roslindale went from being a Chinese restaurant to a Cajun seafood spot during the pandemic but is now a Chinese restaurant once again.)
The address for The Crab Shack is 950 American Legion Highway, Roslindale, MA, 02131. Its website can be found at https://thecrabshackma.com/
[December 5 update: According to a press release, The Crab Shack is now open in Roslindale, with its menu including such items as hush puppies, oysters, fried seafood baskets, and combination plates that can be ordered with crab, lobster, shrimp, mussels, clams, and crawfish, along with a variety of seasonings and spice levels.]
