HuE Plans to Open in Former Storyville Space in Boston's Back Bay

A new dining and drinking spot is on its way to the Back Bay of Boston, and it will be taking over the space where a combination speakeasy/nightclub had been.

According to a licensing board hearing page within the city's website, HuE is looking to open on Exeter Street in the former Storyville space, with the notice saying that the upcoming spot will be a two-level place with restaurant space, multiple bars, and an outdoor patio. A check on the parent company of HuE (Stark Hospitality, LLC) indicates that George Aboujaoude (Committee, Eva. Bijou Nightclub and Lounge) is involved, while the manager listed in the hearing notice is Nick Saber.

Storyville, which first opened in 2011, took its name from a landmark club that once occupied the same spot and featured such acts as Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, and Cab Calloway.

The address for HuE is 90 Exeter Street, Boston, MA, 02116.

[November 22 update: According to a press release, HuE plans to open in December, and in addition to George Aboujaoude and Nick Saber being involved, Maurice Rodriguez (La Brasa, Fat Hen, W Hotel) and Robert Eugene are also part of the team.]
