A growing group of restaurants known for their award-winning tacos will be opening a second location in Massachusetts, with this one being the first in the Greater Boston area.
According to a source, Barrio Tacos is planning to open in Salem, moving into the space on Lafayette Street that has been home to Kokeshi which now resides in the Derby Street space where its sibling restaurant Bambolina also resides. Once it opens, the new location of Barrio Tacos will join another in Haverhill along with a handful of locations in the Great Lakes area (the business started out in Cleveland in 2012) and one other in Portsmouth, NH.
As mentioned in an earlier article here, the Lakewood, OH location of Barrio Tacos was once mentioned as one of the top 10 taco stands in the United States by Gayot.
