A Mexican restaurant has said farewell to Boston.
According to a message sent to us by @BostonTweet, La Catrina in Brighton is no longer in business, with an Instagram post from the Commonwealth Avenue spot saying the following:
Today, we are reaching to you with bittersweet news. Our restaurant has closed for good as we are ready to explore other professional opportunities. It's been an amazing 4 years, 5 months, and 18 days serving the Brighton community; including a pandemic when our resilience was proved to the maximum. We have no plans on opening another restaurant for now so we are closing this chapter of our life with immense gratitude and sense of accomplishment.
La Catrina was a counter-service restaurant that offered such items as tamales, enchiladas, burritos, tacos, churros, and flan, along with drinks such as margaritas and sangria.
The address for the now-closed La Catrina was 1620 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, MA, 02135.
