A bit more than a year ago, it was reported that a comfort food spot in Cambridge known in part for its chicken dishes would be expanding to South Boston. Now we have learned that the new outlet has debuted.
According to an article from Caught in Southie, Shy Bird is now open within the Iron Works building, which is at the site of the old Cole Hersee building on Old Colony Avenue. The new restaurant offers such items as chicken soup, rotisserie chicken, fried chicken sandwiches, chicken bites, smash burgers, macaroni and cheese, rigatoni with sausage, and more, and it joins the original location in Kendall Square.
The address for the new location of Shy Bird in South Boston is 12 Old Colony Avenue, South Boston, MA, 02127. The website for both locations can be found at https://www.shybird.com/
