Yesterday, it was reported that a casual upscale Mediterranean restaurant in Westwood will be closing later this year, and now we have learned that a regional restaurant group is planning to open a new location of one of its concepts there.
According to a source, Bar 'Cino is looking to open in Westwood, taking over the space on High Street that is currently home to Chiara. Once it opens, the new outlet--which is part of the Newport Restaurant Group and which is known for its Italian fare and cocktails--will join others in Brookline and Newport, RI, along with another coming to Watertown that is slated to open this summer.
Chiara plans to close in early October after 18 years in operation.
The address for the upcoming Bar 'Cino (and the still-open Chiara) is 569 High Street, Westwood, MA, 02090. The website for Bar 'Cino can be found at https://barcino.com/
