Leo Keka Plans to Open Scutari in Braintree

The person behind a couple of steakhouses and an Italian dining and drinking spot south of Boston is looking to open a brand new Italian restaurant that will also be south of the city.

According to a source, Leo Keka (Alba in Quincy and Hanover, Zef Cicchetti & Raw Bar in Quincy) is planning to open Scutari in Braintree, with the place moving into the former Dunkin' Donuts University space on Granite Street. The Patriot Ledger mentions that the proposed spot will have a full bar and a function hall and that it will be similar to Trattoria Alba, a Northern Italian eatery that had once been in Quincy. If all goes well with the permitting/licensing process, Scutari could be opening in March of next year.

It looks like the address for Scutari may be 589 Granite Street, Braintree, MA, 02184, though we will try to confirm this.
