A new dining spot is coming to Cambridge, taking over the space where a Mexican restaurant had been.
According to a post from kenji.boston on Bluesky, a sign is now up in Inman Square for Oak Bistro in the former Corazon de Frida Mexican Cantina space on Cambridge Street. A check on the Bizapedia site indicates that Kelly Briene and Robson Ferreira--both of whom work at The Abbey in Cambridge and Brookline--are apparently behind the place, though no other details have been given about the upcoming restaurant.
Corazon de Frida Mexican Cantina first opened in February of 2020, taking over the space that had been home to a location of Ginger Exchange; the restaurant closed down in the fall of 2022.
The address for Oak Bistro in Inman Square is 1287 Cambridge St, Cambridge, MA 02139.
[September 15 update: According to a post by troysch1 on Bluesky, Oak Bistro is now open, and it appears to be offering dishes with Brazilian influences including such options as braised short rib croquettes, corn bisque, grilled octopus, lamb sliders, pan-roasted halibut, mushroom risotto, and more.]
