Update: Blondie's Plans to Open in the Former Article 24 Space in Brighton

A new dining and drinking spot is looking to open in Brighton, and it would take over the space where another restaurant had been until closing down last month.

Based on information from a recent Brighton Allston Improvement Association meeting, a new restaurant tentatively called Lalas is planning to open on Western Avenue in the former Article 24 space, and Tyrone Di Stasi, Richard Sullivan, and Jairo Dominguez are behind it (the parent company is Lalaland LLC). The proposed spot would be a neighborhood bar with American-style shareable plates and brunch on the weekends, and it would be the fourth place from the team of Di Stasi, Sullivan, and Dominguez, joining Flamingo in the North End, Rock & Rye in the Theatre District, and Pinky's in the Back Bay.

Article 24 first opened in the spring of 2016, moving into the space that had previously been home to The Boyne.

The address for this proposed spot is 458 Western Avenue, Brighton, MA, 02135.

[February 23 update: We have been told that the restaurant plans to be called Blondie's, not Lalas.]
