A highly-rated Italian seafood restaurant is saying farewell.
According to a post within the Davis Square Facebook group page, Out Of The Blue in the Davis Square section of Somerville is shutting down, with the note saying the following:
It is with mixed emotions that we announce the closing of Out of the Blue. After 23 1/2 years it is time to say goodbye. It's been an amazing journey and we loved every minute of it. Our employees became family. Our customers became friends. The square became our neighborhood. We will cherish the memories we made along the way and hope you will too. And as we close we want to thank you for your loyal support and patronage over the years.
The post mentions that the restaurant will remain open through February 14.
Out of the Blue is known for such dishes as fried calamari, grilled octopus, lobster fra diavolo, grilled swordfish, oven roasted whole fish, shrimp scampi linguini, frutti di mare, mussels marinara, pan roasted scallops, and grilled salmon.
The address for Out of the Blue is 215 Elm Street, Somerville, MA, 02144. Its website is at http://outofthebluerestaurant.com/
