Uncle Tetsu to Open in Boston's Chinatown Neighborhood

It looks like a chain of Japanese cheesecake shops will be expanding to Boston.

According to a poster (Geoff Wong) within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Uncle Tetsu is going to be opening in Chinatown, moving into a space on Hudson Street between Kneeland Street and Beach Street. Based on other outlets of the chain (which first started out in Hakata, Japan, in 1985), expect to see scratch-made cheesecakes that the company's website says combine "the richness of American cheesecakes with the lightness of French soufflés.

The address for the upcoming Uncle Tetsu in Chinatown is 19 Hudson Street, Boston, MA, 02111. The website for the chain can be found at https://uncletetsu-us.com/
