Uncle Tetsu to Open in Boston's Chinatown Neighborhood

It looks like a chain of Japanese cheesecake shops will be expanding to Boston.

According to a poster (Geoff Wong) within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Uncle Tetsu is going to be opening in Chinatown, moving into a space on Hudson Street between Kneeland Street and Beach Street. Based on other outlets of the chain (which first started out in Hakata, Japan, in 1985), expect to see scratch-made cheesecakes that the company's website says combine "the richness of American cheesecakes with the lightness of French souffl├ęs.
