The Cambridge location of a local group of dining spots known for their empanadas appears to have closed down.
According to a couple of posters within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Pikalo on Harvard Street is no longer in business, having only lasted since September of last year. A check on the website for the business shows that the Cambridge outlet is indeed no longer listed, though other locations in Jamaica Plain, East Boston, Lawrence (2), and Lowell still show up on the site.
Pikalo had taken over the space where Izzy's, a beloved dining spot in Cambridge that specialized in Puerto Rican fare, was for 40 years.
The address for the now-closed location of Pikalo in Cambridge was 169 Harvard Street, Cambridge, MA, 02139. The website for the other locations is at https://pikalo-empanadas.com/
