A new restaurant is on its way to Boston's Back Bay, taking over the space where a wine bar had been.
According to a post from What's Now Boston, Le Mari is planning to open on Newbury Street, moving into the former Bar à vin 1855 space between Fairfield Street and Gloucester Street. Very little is known about the upcoming spot other than the fact that Leigh Whittaker (Fox & The Knife) is behind it and that Corbett Restaurant Group (and Krista Kranyak, Broker) sold it, so keep checking back for updates.
Bar à vin 1855 first opened in the early part of 2019.
The address for Le Mari is 259 Newbury Street, Boston, MA, 02116. Its Instagram page will be at https://www.instagram.com/lemarirestaurant/
[June 4 update: According to a press release, Le Mari will be a Mediterranean-influenced spot that will include two outdoor patios. The menu will have such items as duck fat gaufrettes, cacio e pepe, steak frites, cavatelli con vongole, and more, while wine and modern takes on classic cocktails will be served. (Le Mari will initially be open for dinner Tuesday through Sunday, with lunch and brunch service following soon.)]
[July 16 update: According to a new press release, Le Mari is now open.]
