Dolce Vita Ristorante in Boston's North End Has Closed

A longtime restaurant in the North End of Boston has shut down.

According to a couple of sources who are connected to the local food/restaurant industry (including a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page), Dolce Vita Ristorante on Hanover Street is no longer in business, and both sources mention that the building has been sold, with new owners taking over the restaurant space. There is no confirmation at this point in time as to what dining spot might go into the space, so keep checking back for updates.

Dolce Vita Ristorante first opened approximately 35 years ago, offering such dishes as lasagna, chicken parmigiana, veal marsala, ravioli, risotto, scallops scampi, pork chops, and more.

The address for the now-closed Dolce Vita Ristorante was 221 Hanover Street, Boston, MA, 02113.

[August 27 update: We have been told that the Martignetti Restaurant Group (not the Martignetti Hospitality Group, as had been reported earlier) is planning to open a new dining/drinking spot within the Dolce Vita space in the North End.]
