Three popular hotel restaurants/bars in Boston are getting ready to close, with something new coming to the spaces.
According to an article from boston.com, Solas, City Bar, and City Table at the Lenox Hotel in the Back Bay are going to be shutting down once their leases expire at the end of October, and the spaced occupied by the three spots--which are owned by The Briar Group--will become home to new concepts that will apparently be operated by the hotel, which is owned by the Saunders Hotel Group. Little is currently known about the upcoming concepts--including their names and menus--as the article says that the Lenox Hotel is "fine-tuning concepts, menus, and branding."
Solas is an Irish pub while City Bar is a cocktail lounge and City Table is a casual upscale restaurant.
The Lenox Hotel sits at the corner of Boylston Street and Exeter Street, with its website being at https://www.lenoxhotel.com/
[October 22 update: An article from Time Out indicates that Sweeney's on Boylston plans to open in the space where Solas currently resides on November 1, while The Irving is also slated to open on November 1 in the space where City Bar currently resides. (The restaurant replacing City Table does not yet have a name, but it hopes to open early next year.)]
