Update: Agavero Guac & Margs to Open in the Former Purple Shell Space in South Boston

[Ed note: This article was updated on June 19 to reflect a name change for the upcoming restaurant.]

A small regional group of Mexican restaurants will be expanding further into the local area, opening its first dining spot within the Boston city limits.

According to an article from Caught in Southie, a new restaurant is planning to open in South Boston, moving into the space on West Broadway that had been home to Purple Shell, and before that, Stephi's in Southie. Initially, it looked like this would be another location of Ocho Cafe, which can be found locally in Weymouth, Plymouth, and Westford along with another in West Hartford, though a new licensing board hearing page now says that the dining spot will be called Agavero Guac & Margs. (Note: There are two Ocho websites, including one for Weymouth, Plymouth, and West Hartford while the Westford location has its own website.)

The address for the upcoming location of Agavero Guac & Margs in Southie is 11 West Broadway, South Boston, MA, 02127.
