A pizza place and sub shop in the southern suburbs of Boston that had been around for more than 60 years has shut down.
According to multiple sources along with an article from MassLive, Double G's Pizzeria in Braintree is no longer in business, with the article saying that the lease for the Grove Street eatery was not being renewed. Double G's, which first opened in 1960, was known in part for its pizza while also being a popular spot for steak bombs, wings, burgers, and pasta dishes as well.
The address for the now-closed Double G's Pizzeria was 303 Grove Street, Braintree, MA, 02184.
